Long Beach Golf Courses - Swing Like a Pro All Year Round

Golfers traveling to Southern California will want to make a stop in the town where Tiger Woods got his start. The golf icon learned the game on a Long Beach golf course. The city has half a dozen courses of various levels of play where amateurs, pros, and everyone in between can practice their swing like a champion.
Golfing is a popular past time around the world, but especially in the cities that line the sunny California coast. With less than a month's worth of rainy days each year, it doesn't matter whether the calendar says January or June, it's always the ideal weather for golfers to go play a round or hit a bucket of balls.
Long Beach, in particular, is filled with tourists and locals who take to the green to enjoy 18 holes at the golf courses at El Dorado Park, Skylinks, Recreation Park and Heartwell Park (where Tiger perfected his short game). Golfers looking for a short game can play the executive course at Bixby Village Golf Course or Recreation Park, which has both an 18-hold and 9-hole course.

How to Swing Like a Pro With These 3 Easy Tips

Golf is a game where your success is determined by a combination of factors including your swing, short game, and putting. For this article we are going to focus on how to swing like a pro using 3 swing keys that you need to focus on while practicing. It is important that you do these things on the driving range because on the golf course you should only be thinking about the golf shot you are about to play and nothing else.
1. First off you need to start with a correct setup position. It seems that everyone wants a better golf swing, but half the battle is having a quality setup position. Your grip, stance, and alignment are three keys that any golfer can control regardless of skill level. The great Jack Nicklaus once said that a poor setup and a good swing will produce a bad shot, but a good setup and a poor swing will produce a decent shot.
2. Your first thought with your swing should be to establish a good tempo. Tempo is crucial when learning how to swing like a pro. It is important that you start your backswing smoothly, and to do this I suggest you let the club hover over the ground just about a quarter of an inch right before your start your backswing. This will ensure that you start your swing with the big muscles, which will lead to greater consistency.
3. Many players fail to release the golf club in the downswing. Once you have hit the ball your club and right arm should rotate, and when the club head and shaft are parallel to the ground your right hand should be in position to shake someone's hand. This is an easy way that I remember to incorporate a powerful release into my golf game.

Golf is a great game, but extremely frustrating at times when you just do not seem to get a single shot right: slices, hooks, fats abound; drives are too short, too long, too high, too low, too right or too left; those delightful cannon ball like shots are a far off dream, and you do not know where things have gone wrong. Do not fret. Improving your game is not the most difficult thing to accomplish on the Earth, though at times it may feel so. Here are some tips on how you can go about improving your golf game.
Firstly, when it comes to driving the ball, improving the swing mechanics is the most important thing. And you have to understand that the mechanics of a golf swing require certain specific levels of body flexibility, balance, stability, strength and endurance together referred to as golf fitness in addition to a grasp of the technique.
Golf fitness includes high rotational flexibility and strength of the muscles and joints in the lower back, hips, shoulders and the core (i.e. the abdominal area). Improved golf fitness is bound to improve your shots. If you are golf fit, you can implement correct body stance and setup more easily and have better balance and stability, without injury to muscles and joints, leading to improved swing mechanics, better shots, and longer drives.
Once your golf fitness and swing mechanics are in order, you can pay attention to the equipment. There is no doubt that custom made golf clubs can make a substantial improvement to your swing power if you know what position the club should be in while it is being swung.
